Happy New Year

Many thanks for your suggestions on our quest for the event(s) that could have led to the birth of intelligence in Homo sapiens [see the SPECIAL REQUEST section on the page accessed by the green-colored, CLICK HERE button, below]. Based on your early responses, I have further elaborated some basic terminology and set the scene more explicitly.

The Story:

In (the month of) June 2508, a young man, Raemon Teeler, arrives on Mars and takes up residence in West city.  Raemon has arrived with a bold, earthshaking idea to quickly and cheaply increase the planetary water supply. Raemon also has in mind to set in motion actions that would derail the growing alienation between Mars and Earth and also start neutralizing the increasing rift between DNA-science and religion.
From day one, Raemon begins amusingly experiencing the high efficiency and prosperity on Mars and the silent, agreeable manner of its implementation by the valets (Valets are the precursors of robots) in a government without politicians (the Capital model). While he gets caught up in routine job-interviews, seminars, parties, car races, etc., he arduously keeps building support for his ideas with the politically-savvy Mayor, a skeptical Captain Haskins, a hostile head of religions, and most of all, with his friends. Other priorities materialize unexpectedly. He falls headlong in love with a young woman. He is also horrified and alarmed to learn that a few descendants of the original, first settlers on Mars — owing to having arrived prior to DNA-immunizations against long-term mutations — are still alive, but grossly disfigured and hostile by now. He correctly judges these matters can't wait.
The story steadily and hilariously keeps exposing new nuggets of human nature, tightly interwoven with the entertainment and heart-breaks of romance and of relationships. But in the down-to-earth, super-efficient, fast-paced world of rapidly-increasing prosperity on Mars, all matters come to a head quickly and get resolved for better or for worse.

Special (and heartfelt) thanks to readers for their feedback comments.
